Hair Treats

If you know me, you will know that I am forever messing about with my hair. I've dyed it almost every colour under the sun, had it cut short, grown it back, and forever go round and round in circles, yet lately, since being home from University, I've barely touched it, and I can certainly see and feel a difference. My hair is naturally dead straight, so I can simply leave it to dry naturally and not do a thing to it. Having recently said goodbye to my horrid split ends, I decided I wanted to look after my hair more, which would only mean using good products little but often. Moroccan Oil was on the top of my list to get!

Moroccan Oil has caused a huge craze lately for all hair lovers. This 'miracle' oil as some have called it works wonders on your hair. I was first introduced to it by my cousin, who had purchased the large bottle for a whopping £30 after falling in love with the product.  I'd contemplated getting the big bottle myself, but just couldn't justify the price. So when I saw this small sample 25ml sized bottle for only £12.50 I could not resist!

Moroccan Oil

Firstly I love the size of this bottle. It's perfect to fit into your handbag, and great for a holiday too! Personally, I think that this bottle is just as good as getting the bigger one for £30 as it lasts forever as you only use a pea size amount each time.

Moroccan oil is designed for the ends of your hair. A small pea size amount rubbed through your hands and on the lengths of your hair does the trick nicely. With a non greasy texture, you can use this on damp towel dried hair or completely dry hair, whichever you find best for you.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

I haven't yet tried this product out, but from reading other blogs, It seems the Bumble and Bumble range is very popular, and this spray seems to get a lot of attention. I figured this would be a nice little treat for my holiday to create a beachy wave look when I'm in Ibiza. This little bottle cost £9.50 and again, is perfect holiday size. I'm excited to try this out, although knowing me, I'll go for an effortless look when it most likely took me about an hour to achieve my desired hair style.

Have you brought any hair products lately? What do you think of Moroccan oil & Bumble and Bumble products?

Turquoise Jewellery

Jewellery, now tell me what girl doesn't love it? Personally, it has to be one of my favourite accessories to go with an outfit. There is so much to choose from, rings, necklaces, anklets - the list goes on but a favourite of mine this season is Turquoise jewellery. Firstly it's my favourite colour, so even more reason to be attracted to it, but secondly, it's such a bright and summery colour.

Whenever I'm out in town shopping, I'm always on the lookout for a new piece to add to my small but ever growing collection. There are loads of high street shops with gorgeous pieces for a great price for you to get your hands on this summer to brighten up your summer wardrobe that little bit more, and to tempt you that little bit more, turquoise jewellery will show off that golden tan to the max!

Here are a few particular pieces I love.

Turquoise Jewellery
I personally think that the silver compliments the turquoise stone better than gold, but other people prefer the gold, so it's a personal choice, but not to worry, as there is plenty of jewellery to choose from, so you'll be struggling to pick your statement piece!

Recently I've brought myself some lovely rings from Primark, and I have to say, for a cheeky £1.50, they have seriously upped their game. Impressing. Although Primark have a great selection in at the moment, another store which also stock a slightly more expensive range are Newlook, which I have to say, if I could, I would buy the whole collection, it's gorgeous!

The great thing with the turquoise statement stone is that it works with a small, simple piece, or bigger statement necklace, yet they look equally as good as the stones are so bright and summery.

Why not head out and see if you can find yourself some turquoise pieces? Any excuse to go shopping eh?!

Primark Bargains

After a recent trip to Primark, I came across some Hareem trousers. I remember them being on trend a few years back, but like all trends, they eventually go out of fashion, then eventually come back around, and here they are, once again in time for summer. For me, these are the perfect alternative to tracksuit bottoms, nice and comfortable, and if you know me, you'll know that as soon as I get home, the jeans are off, and the trackie bottoms are on. Being comfortable is a must! Whilst having a browse in Primark the other day, I came across these few pairs, and for only £9 each, you can't go wrong. I brought myself the pair second on the left, all of the bright colours drew me to them instantly. Perfect summer buy for my Ibiza holiday when it gets a little chilly in the evening. Here are some of the patterned ones they have in stock at the moment. Along with some plain simple colours. Spoilt for choice!Primark Bargains
I'm really loving all of the different patterned clothes around at the moment. I thought I'd put together a collage of my favourite Hareem's and items I'd wear with the trousers for the perfect look. Here are my favourite items.

Personally, I'm loving the monochrome look at the moment, and these patterned and aztec Hareem's are my favourites. A simple black and white outfit is easy to pull together, and is great for that effortless look. Above is how I'd wear my hareems. With a simple white crop top, you have a perfect summer outfit for the daytime or evening. Added with a jacket, the outfit is pulled together for a casual daytime look. A statement necklace would work great with either of these trousers, and against the white top, it's bound to catch someones eye! If I was brave enough, I'd definitely wear a bowler hat to complete this look. Hats are perfect for them messy hair days when you can't be bothered, and a black one would look perfect with this outfit. Finally, a simple pair of black pumps to pull the look together. Even better, why not add a pair of heels for the night time? Day to night outfit in seconds.

Have you got your eye on any Hareem trousers for summer?

Summer Sandals

With the lovely summer weather finally coming our way, the sandals have hit the shops along with all of your holiday essentials. Sick of having to paint my toenails, then shove on a boring pair of pumps, today I decided it was appropriate to go on the hunt for a pair of sandals.

Little did I know, it would be a tough decision. I had one shop in mind that I'd go to. River Island! The prices are great, and they do amazing summer buys, but this year they had too many sandals for me to choose from. Beige, black, orange, all of these colours were not helping me with a decision.

Summer Sandals

After spending about half an hour in the shop, trying on every sandal on show, my decision was final. Play it safe with a nude gladiator (top left). With the same sandal in a black, the gold studs really stand out, and at a bargain of £20, how could I refuse? All I need now, is a tan, pedicure, and I'm good to go.

What sandals will you be wearing this summer?

Cartier Craze

After an unhealthy browse through Kylie Jenner's Instagram page, I noticed she wore these gorgeous Cartier bracelets often, and I instantly wanted one. Not because I wanted to be like her (lets be honest we wouldn't refuse her life for a day or two) but because 1, they are amazing, and 2, what girl doesn't like jewellery?! So, after a long browse on the internet, I finally found some replicas which I could afford. Unfortunately my student loan won't quite stretch to me paying over £1,000 for a bangle.

After ordering them, I realised that the only main difference was that the 'Cartier' name wasn't engraved on the inside, and also it wasn't real gold, but apart from that, for £15, it was a damn good match.

The bracelets come with a mini screwdriver, as it fastens with two little screws at the side. Sounds annoying I know, but great for a night out, allowing you not to worry about loosing it!

With various colours to choose from, you are spoilt for choice, but we all know gold goes great with a tan. Perfect summer buy!

Summer Shopping

With my holiday to Ibiza just two months to go, I found it appropriate to have an internet browse at some holiday outfits. With many summer clothes from last year still in my wardrobe, I don't need anymore, but for now, I'm just having a look. I'm loving pastel colours this summer, and you can find some cute outfits in all the high street shops. A favourite of mine has to be River Island, It's not that often that I leave there without having purchased something. They currently have a great selection of summer things to choose from. Whilst looking, I found a few things that I'll definitely be getting for my holiday. Here they are...

I'm Loving...Pretty Pastels

So, what a better way to step into summer than with some cute pastel pieces in your wardrobe? I know what you're thinking, 'I've got too many clothes already'. Well feat not, Primark has upped its game, and is selling some fab pastel outfits this season, so head on down, there's no excuses for a cheap bargain!

Here are a few pieces I found, and put together a few of my favourites. I love the Givenchy bag, if only my student loan could help me, but unfortunately it can't, so I'll have to dream for now.

Being possibly one of the palest people in the whole of Sunderland, I've found that some of these lighter pastel shades work on my skin tone, which is a damn good job as I defiantly don't have the patience to be applying fake tan every day! These colours work really well for a cute and casual day time look, yet also work for a girly night look also.

If only my student loan stretched a little further I'd definitely be buying all of these pieces.

Which ones would you buy?

My First Blog Post

So... Here Goes.

After many months of telling myself I would start a fashion and beauty blog, I have finally done it. Although the main contents of my blog will consist of fashion and beauty, I will also be writing about Student style, as well as fashion and beauty products I like, and the ones I can't wait to get my hands on and try out!

I love trying out new products, and recommending them to friends and family. With a ridiculous amount of make-up, nail varnishes, and other products, I will write about the products I own, and love, the ones I'm not too keen on, and the ones perfect for each season.

I hope you enjoy my thoughts, reviews, and pictures on all things student, fashion and beauty related.
